2012 C63 Wheel Spacers Info and Pics

I have the 18" rims on my coupe and have a few questions: Should I look for the 19" rims (offset/width change?) or just add spacers to mine? I have searched this forum for hours and cant get a a really good idea on directions:
....10mm front/back
.... 15mm front/5 in back
..... 12 mm front /back.

My goal to get a more aggressive look and see also what is the widest tire (265/275..) could run in then rear given the spacer options:

Any help and feedback/pics would help.

I traded in my 2010 Aston for a 2012 new C63 (and no this was not and even swap!) as I do not have garage queens. Needless to say the AM was approaching HIGH maintenance $$. I have had in the past 911/996, Audi R8 V8/ Aston Vantage V8/ Rangerover SS (don't judge). So this is a switch for me on cars. I do like the power but it still has the cheap "C" class interior feel. Power is great with the P51 package. Probably keep this one in the stable as it is more practical than the others...will sit next t its new MY2 Audi RR8 (aside from the Scoccer Mom RR).

Ok, now back on track. Need spacers and more tire to the road. do want to keep stock but open to suggestions.

Thanks gents fro your help!

I have the 19 inch stock wheels with 12 mm front/rear H&R spacers. I guess the 18 inch have the same offset so it should be fine... My car is stock height/tires. No rubbing at all. Here are some pics. I hope it helps you decide!

I don't have pictures without the spacers... I installed the spacers the first night I got the summer wheels on!

OP nice car & Aston Martin! I read most ppl are using 10mm spacers front & rear.

Thank you both for the post. I was considering 19" AMG OEM rims (dont care for the 16 spoke design) but think the spacers would look as good and save a few $'s for other upgrades. Thinking of the 10 mm myself. If I went with with 10 mm, what is the widest tire I could safely install on the rear??

3 things I would change on the C63 (a little nit-picky)
1. LSD has to be an option on a 480 HP car?!?
2. The LED light was an option and mine did not have it. Wanted to get this $1200 from factory but if it came without from my dealer ..$4000K for the pair and then the install....That is ludicrous! I understand the factory line explanation, easier upon ca assembly but really...THEY ARE HL that can be installed in an hour or less!.
3. rear end looks too plain, we need aftermarket products to hep this out. maybe in time as it too a while for R8 products to start hitting the shelf and giving us customization options

What do you mean the LED was an option but yours didnt have it? Did you mean HID headlight? If so, yes it's a must... and it's a shame MB are still delivering cars of this price range with halogen.

As for the LSD, it is an option from the factory... but if you dont have it & need it, go with Quaiffe LSD, I heard good things about it... even better than OEM.

Our rear end is plain, but if you want wider rear fenders... get this BS bodykit:

Sorry, yes meant the HID headlight. 80K for a car and they put tech from the 90' on it. I am really would like to write them a letter explaining not only my disappointment but those in my car club that the OEM replacement is outrageous! $2000 i could live with but a 600% increase with install is flat out a crime !

Oh, finally regarding your spacers question. Our cars has 19x9 +54 mm rear... so adding 10mm spacers will bring your offset down to + 44mm which become very aggressive. So you could go from our 255/35/18 to 265/35/18 w/o rubbing. You could probably squeeze 275/35/18 if you are at stock height.

LOL, I feel your pain. You got to bring your own lube with you when you go to the stealership!!

The worst part is you dont have much choice as I dont recall seeing aftermarket HID for our cars yet.

When you say very aggressive, I wan to make sure the rubber is not all the way out side the furthest exceeded part of my finder...that look i not for me. My AM has spacers that lined the wheels exactly with the finders. Very smooth and aggressive but not unsightly....In other words I really want to keep the whens and rims flush if possible and a some wider rear tires that would fit those 9" rims

What I mean by "very aggressive" is the wheels will sit flush with the fenders (not pass the fenders, so you will be ok in term of look), but your tire width selection will not be as wide as you wish unless you stay at stock height. Forget about running 275 or 285 with a drop... and as you can see, our cars has not much to roll or shave from the inner fender lips.

Gotcha, I plan on keeping stock height. maybe I will look ay 265 and 275. Although I have read that the coupe is .75" lower than the sedans so I might have to stick with 265.

Thank you for all your help.

I agree. every car I have owned (all of course are 100K +) have never had this option. I am sorry but $1200 option from the factory should not cost $5000+ installed. That is gouging in my eyes and IF there is a mechanic on this site that CAN chime in (even PM) on why that would be great. Maybe somebody out there knows about this solution??
I have reached out to MB regarding this and will see where it takes me but i am not giving up and can tell you no matter the HP,Torque..having to purchase LSD as an option as well on a 480 HP car...really? I know I am negative but I really think they should offer some break for individuals who are loyal to the brand and//or come from exotics like myself to test out and entry level car as the C63 AMG before plunging on the $150 models. I think customer service is just as important on these classes of cars as performance. You pay for what you get.

No don't get me wrong, love driving he car, the torque and the power. Overall a great car...just need for MB to open there ears and eyes to a few overlooked pieces to make this car "OUTSTANDING"

can i go with 10mm spacers and 275's in the back and 245's in the front on oem 18's with no drop without rubbing on a sedan? it's almost time for new tires all around and i don't want to commit to something and find out it's rubbing after the fact.

The rims on my coupe came standard and are only 18". Debating on spacers, 265/275 wheels or just try and find some 19' rims but would still need spacers....

My car is on 19" AMG Multispokes and lowered on H&R Springs.
Spacers:
- front 15mm 235/35/19
- rears 10mm 275/30/19

No rubbing.

Good thread and v useful chaps, 3rd week in as a new owner / member with my C63 after coming out of a 997 GT3, previous to that RRS, M3 CSL (5 years), E46 M3, Z3 Mcoupe, S3 and E36 M3 (won't go back to 17 as list goes on !!) lol

Car is Black, Performance Pack + with the LSD, carbon lip spoiler on rear.
late 2010/11 model Reg 31st Dec 2010, Multi Spoke 19's.

First mod is spacers, got a friend over here in the UK running an independent Mercedes Specialist in Liverpool so after his advice and the post above just ordered som eibach 12mm all round with the the longer bolts.

Oct will see a KW V3 kit go on when I'm out in Germany for its first ring trip with me ( been going for last 11 years in every car so she needs to get her wings ) !

Run both V3 and Clubsport on the CSL with 15mm all round and the V3 I preferred, GT3 didn't need anything spacer or suspension wise.

Look forward to contributing to the forum

Oh and hello

Daz

Yeah I suppose we take that for granted, door to door utilising some unrestricted autobhans its a little over 4 hours.

Def worth a visit, although its changed massively over the years so need to pick your times and worth doing privately arranged track days.

GT3 and CSL were awesome round the ring, think the 63 will be a little bit more interesting !! Lol
