MBH Headers installed..... Well worth it & I would recommend to everyone

To summarize - WOW. Totally amazing. Can certainly feel the power increase!
I replaced the resonator with straight pipes also.
Sounds great on the throttle !!
No drone, not too loud when cruising and can certainly talk on phone (which I wanted to preserve!)

These are a fantastic mod - coupled with Ivan's (DCTMS) Flat Bottom DTM steering wheel - the best money I have spent on this car !!!
Thanks again Mike. Definitely a satisfied customer here.

I will try.....
I don't have a Flicker/Youtube or any hosting account.
I remember years ago when I wanted to post videos for you guys of my E63's exhaust (because it was one of the first modded ones as I recall) - how much of a pain it was to get videos uploaded/hosted.

Any sho that does visual can clearly see the primary cats are missing

To the OP try to flare the stock piping and slide it over the headers not the other way around it causes some restriction. Since you have spent on a nice set of headers get little details taken care off.

Does Texas have emissions and if so do they plug to obd ii and run the test as well as gas cap test?? I was tempted to do no cats but didn't want to end up putting cats back in place for emssions testing. And CEl codes.

Running a street car catless is silly....Yes you may gain a few hp, but the car will stink (and yes it is not good for the environment either)....

I love the smell of napalm in the morning, LOL. I am catless and really like the smell, reminds me of the race track, although the wife hates it, she will barely even drive the car anymore since I had my MBH headers/x pipe/catless/meisterschaft's installed. Oh well, I love it Oh yeah and no emissions for me here in WI

If you take of the secondary cats your exhaust will stink like hell. I have long tube headers as well. The primary cats are gone, but I kept the secondary cats and stock exhaust as it is a hard design to beat. Especially with a H-pipe incorporated in the resonator. My car is quiet and sounds stock while cruising down the freeway. Once I step on it mr. hyde comes out roaring.

Yep, agree with shardul. It's like getting a nice boob job up top and yet a size 55 a-s-s on the bottom. Shops inspect all the time, clean it up, and reinstall when it is time to inspect brotha!. Or at least a 'pair' of high flow primaries.

I had the same exact setup, MBH headers connected to the stock exhaust with just the primary cats removed. Very good setup for daily driver, quiet when cruising, no drone, and no smell.

Hi

To these people that have deleted there primary cats. Did you have any issues with your 4 x 02 sensors? Did they throw a code or did you have to attend to them with SDS or a custom tune or could you just keep driving the car?

Regards,

OZZYAMG

Im very interested in going down the Long tube road in particular the MBH solution however I have been advised not too due to the LT hanging down lower even much lower than stock , I have been searching and reading many online sources but I have not been able to identify of many instances were I can see these and/ or any LT's hang low.

Can anyone assist with your own ( including the super moderators) experiences and possibly have photos - I have a 2005 S55 .. The secondary issue I have is I live in Australia and I need to commit more money to the modification required to go right hand drive so I really really need to understand what the outcome should be as this is certainly not a cheap exercise.

Anyone able to assist your Aussie comrade ?

Dear Mr/Mrs MBWORLD moderator I don't know if I have posted in the perfect thread so what's the recommendation about posting in other threads - I believe a type of set of underlying rules and manners exist about posting - I'm have been a longer time reader and very much dedicated to your product ... So I say thankyou...

Show me your long tube headers pics ?
