So I bought this little marvel of plastic for 89 bucks through Amazon.


Well not so fast! This little devise is supposed to fix the connection of Bluetoothing the audio to the command head on various devises such as the iPhone 5 and above.


Connection was simple and it connects likes it's supposed too. The music flows over the command head via the wireless connection great. It's not a very good menu of how it displayed on the screen but once you get over that you are golden.


Now there is a glitch.


My phone which is an iPhone 5 is bluetoothed to the command as well for the wireless calling or hands free feature. Yes, it does Bluetooth just fine.


What I've noticed is when the calls come in there is a delay in the caller ID to show up on the command screen. After a few rings it displays. On outbound calls it there is a delay on the call ringing. The recipient has already answered the call and you are not hearing anything then the call pipes through until there is a lag in the conversation which then again seems like you have lost the call. Also the minute I turn on the truck the Bluetooth audio connects and I have to fight with it to turn it off. I can stop the music but within a few seconds it's back on. I then select the navi and back in business.


If I disconnect the Viseeo from the black wire lead in the glove box everything goes back to normal and I don't experience these glitches but no longer have the Bluetooth audio feature.


Is the Bluetoothing audio and cell phone portion fighting for the same connection?


I do have and use the OEM Apple iPhone 4 to 5 lighting conversion cord, which is a 5-6 inches long. It does charge the phone and does allow the command to pick up the audio signal, but I'm driving the truck not sitting in the passenger side. There for not a good solution either.


My kids think this is so old fashion and say the radio in the Benz sucks. It does!


Any idea besides me getting over it?

Similarly frustrated here. I spent much of a day on tech support pages trying to get ours to work better in the wife's 550GL (unhappy wife unhappy life). Finally told that it had to be a firmware update issue on the Viseeo itself...which led to more total crap because the update process makes the DMV look efficient. Anyway, haven't had time to get back to it but understand that's the solution path.

I have a 2012 GL550 It works the same as the day I bought the Viseeo and after Benz updated the firm ware. That was not my complaint to them, they just did it as a courtesy along with some other stuff. Yet I have beg and stand on my head for other stuff. Story for another day.


As you have advised I suspect it's the Viseeo rather than the command center itself.


What frustrates the life out of me is my kids Honda CRV econo box SUV which was a 1/3 of the price of the GL and 2 years older works fantastic. So did my 2011 Infiniti which has a USB outlet as well.


Are the Germans so backwards on thinking, they we have to resort to this?

What's the difference between the ViseeO Tune2Air WMA3000A and the WMA1000 besides the way it connects to the Command media center?




















I shot off an email this morning to Viseeo asking for help. I'll let everyone know what the response is and post it.

The WMA1000 will require a firm ware update according to Viseeo tech support. The firm ware is available on the Viseeo site. www.viseeo.com


The WMA3000A will and should work perfect. Audi, Mercedes and VW products only. So I'm told. Famous last words right?

I found the firmware updates for the WMA1000.


They were for the Audi brands. Nothing for the MB. I also got a bit of backlash from Viseeo as I did not purchase the device from them. After a few email exchanges they did hand over the code required to load the firmware. Guessing to get it the first time required the purchase from them vs. Amazon.


I did notice the WMA3000 is the latest gizmo that being touted by Viseeo. Has anyone tried this? Also it fits the Audi and VW brands. For ****s and giggles I wonder if there lightning cord works in the MB?


Asking anyone at MB is like talking to your teens! You get more responses from here than them! On F$#@&^% believable is what I have to say! Not that I blowing MB out of the water on my Lexus they have someone dedicated on staff to help you with the technology driven stuff. Not the sales or service puke but a Technology Specialist! Her sole job is helping you.

I emailed abut a week ago asking for the key and they haven't responded. If a company is going to be a pain in the *** about giving up the key, then don't do business with resellers like Amazon sell your product. Otherwise have a policy and procedure in verifying your purchase.

They sent me the code after a few email exchanges. I had the Amazon receipt and the warranty from SquareTrade.




In the documentation there were instructions to email them for the code. They provided the email address. After I followed the instructions to download the drivers, it pulled the Serial Number of the Viseeo and that's what I sent them. Within a few days I got the code required to load the firmware.

I have not gotten an email back yet from them to start the process. It is Chinese New Year so I will wait another few days before I get my wife to write a nasty Chinese email.

Okay, I got it in the mail today. Connected, paired and fired it up from the iPhone 6. The blue light on the Tune2Air will stop blinking when paired and the head unit will show "waiting for connection" until you press "play" on your preferred music app.

I tried Spotify first. The sound was good, adjusted the bass & treble levels in the GL's head unit to improve the music loudness & clarity. I was able to skip songs with the steering wheel (left) buttons and increase volume (right) buttons.

To view song info within the dashboard behind the steering wheel, I had to turn the car on (engine off, one key turn).

Then I tried the iTunes app, the sound was a little low but decent. Then I tried Pandora, sound was better but couldn't skip songs with steering wheel controls unless the car was on (engine off, one key turn).

For the money, this is a good buy. I get full info of songs, playlists, music streaming while simultaneously being connected with the iPhone to receive/make calls.

No need for the $700 Pioneer NEX head unit upgrade with Apple Carplay as of yet, this will do for now. If $1000 is burning in my pocket and I need to impress my friends OR this archaic OEM Mercedes NAV system gets on my last nerve, I'll make the jump. Until then, this will do.

Now, it's acting up after several months of trouble-free service. It pairs but there's no sound streaming from my wife's iPhone 6 (Spotify). Trying to figure it out but the problem persists, even after re-pairing the phone over and over.

I suspect it has to do with the recent iOS upgrades, making the streaming less stable?

yep mines never connects when using my IPhone 6 only with my Galaxy S5 seamless no problems.. I'm not sure if its the New IPhone Updates but mines never connects

I've not used mine (VISEEO) in a while. I gave up on the crappy connection. I'm not in the truck for that long to get it out set it up and stream music and get over heated over it. I listen to a lot of SiriusXM on my whopping 8 miles to work.

I'm running the latest iOS 9.1 on my iPhone 5. It has really dogged the phone and the iPads running that iOS. That I know 100%!!

The voice phone talking portion seems to still work on the Benz and works great in the Lexus and Honda without a hitch.

I am running iOS 9.1 on my iPhone 6. It's working exactly the same as it has previously. It connects consistently --- to a fault. As it tries to override phone functionality, I am forced to disconnect it when sending or receiving a call or using Siri.

Music and directions work fine, as long as I start my Music app before I enter the car. If I don't, it will forget my playlist and start playing the first song in my library. I've learned to hate a couple of my (previous) favorite songs.

If I could find an alternative solution, which kept the music and direction functionality, while resolving the above issues, I'd order it today. The frustrating thing is that a software update from Tune2Air might resolve some of these issues.

I found this in the BMW E90 boards (it could be a fix):

"​I reset my iphones settings (General, Reset, Reset All Settings) and now my Tune2Air is working. Also fixed my wireless itunes sync issue.

This does not "wipe" the iPhone, it just resets all of the settings, like unlock password, sounds, wallpaper, etc. All your apps, imessages, e-mail, etc are still kept.​"

It does work but then it issues starts all over again I tried it before then all your setting wipe for no reason yep it sucks

Just wanted to Report in that it worked with Android on a Galaxy Note 4 .. So far I have used Pandora, Milk need to work with it some more but seems to help fill in the gap.

I've used the viseeo for almost a year now in my 08 e class and have had no real problems and threw it into my wife's 10 GL and it worked great in there too. I've found that the majority of the time if it acts up its a phone issue and not the viseeo unit. It's far and few between that it acts up but for something that's under $100 I don't care. I will say that android does work better than iPhones with it though. The radio in the GL isn't lacking like the Lexus/Honda/Toyota you just don't have the media interface plus installed which was an option and can be purchased from the MB parts department for I believe under $500 which enables you to have the Bluetooth streaming.

I found the fix. I made sure iTunes was properly activated by logging in with my Apple ID/password. Doing so ensures that the iPhone 6 will activate it's Apple based music streaming features towards the Viseeo dongle. See, the dongle itself is fine...the phone had to be stream "enabled" which only comes by logging into iTunes. The music doesn't necessarily start with Apple Music, it comes on with Spotify or whichever music app I used last.

I'm back in business now.

I'm glad you're back in business. I've taken a step back with the latest iOS update. The good news is that it won't auto-play (I have to press play on the iPhone). But the COMAND and steering wheel buttons no longer function properly, and it's still interfering with phone calls.

I just placed an order for a Coolstream bluetooth adapter for MB from Amazon. It may resolve most of these issues, but it's unclear to me about the display (song/artist/album) on the COMAND screen. I'll provide an update after it arrives (and I've had a chance to run it through the different scenarios).

Island, mine goes right after my play list when I fire the truck up. No doodling around, right for it. Annoying as you know what! Even when I try and stop it. Or hit stop it fires it back up again. I've tried both versions. Both do the same thing.

Trying to move through the songs takes forever and sometimes they come over in Chinese for the titles if I keep pressing the buttons!

The only thing I've found that works half was civilized is getting the OEM Apple 30 pin to lightning adapter. Either one works. If it's a knock off it will not work. The only draw back is the length of the cord. I've tried using an extender and no dice as well.

Mercedes is just not in the game. If I buy another Mercedes it will be full on bluetooth and not this crap! I'm over this! I can't believe how backwards this entire deal is. I gave the dongle to my daughter who uses it with her iHome set up. It was 100 bucks of frustration!

I recently purchased another BT adapter:
So far, it has some of the same quirks. However, they're a domestic company, and I've been providing feedback on the issues, so their engineers can address them. This has me optimistic (worst case: I just bought a second unit for my wife's car --- she's still plugged into her old iPod Classic). I'll keep you posted if they resolve any of my issues via firmware updates.

Tried using the Viseeo this past weekend. Kids are home for the holidays. Epic fail again. The music came over but the album names and titles were all wrong!

Unplugged it and it went back in the glove box to collect more dust!

We ended up driving my Daughters Honda CR-V up to Philly as she called the Viseeo a jacked up mess.
