Facelifting a 2010 C63
Hoping you guys can help here.
Busy getting all the parts to facelift my 2010 C63
Parts i have so far
Front and rear bumpers
C63 507 Bonnett
facelift ILS bi xenon lights
Converter cable from Kabledaviko for pre face lift to facelift head light plug
I know i will need a new front SAM module and then some coding. However I have seen various threads with some saying a new ECU???
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

From what I hear it's way too much work to go the route of using mb headlights. Most people use depo headlights. See here https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ight-pair.html
Here's some wiring diagrams that may be useful to you. https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...t-diagram.html
I doubt you need to do anything to the Ecu. I don't know where you got that info from. Let us know how your progress goes!

Spoke with Depo and there lights wont work with mine having Bi xenon ILS as factory fit.
Its pretty hard sourcing the right lights apart from OEM (especially with needing RHD).
Will keep you all updated

Well for what it's worth I finished the project of facelifting the C63 using all OEM parts, with fully functional ILS lighting.
Quick breakdown of what's required.
Obviously new bumpers and grill
Front SAM unit
Headlight control Module
New headlight switch ( on dashboard)
I used the cable harness from Kabel Daviko so no re-pinning plugs
And finally a lot of coding.
Was it worth the cost.....for me because of what I have done to the car so far.....yes. However, if it was a standard car then I dare say it would have been cheaper to trade in for a facelift.
Anyway next project is to install the facelift dashboard

I've seen some Non-AMG W204 guys do the MY2012+ Facelift without the FL SAM unit (Same deal as the PFL -> FL tail light upgrade). They either hard wire the new headlights in or use the Kabeldavinko harness without touching any wiring - using a resistor to cancel out the errors. The FL LED DRL's should hook up using existing fog light harness, again using resistors to cancel out the warning errors. I have a few questions for you
Did you need to change one or two of the hood latch mechanism? I know FL/PFL are different.
I believe you are the first person to do the FL swap using a new FL lighting switch (interior knob). Is this for the ILS to work correctly?
With the FL dashboard swap. I am assuming you are upgrading the Comand / NTG 4.5?
Did you find a way to do this correctly? and also I think the FL dash has some AC/Heater vents that are routed slightly different than the PFL. Do you know anything about this?

I'm interested as well. I have a 2011 and found a good deal some black series parts. I was thinking of swapping my hood, front bumper, and grill over to the black series. Trying to figure out headlights. There are some crappy ebay lights that I think might work. Just trying to figure if it's actually worth it or not.

Nice! Good stuff man! Looks to be a hell of a lot of work.
Wish there was a way to retrofit the interior actually. I would love to have BT Streaming Capabilities from Factory instead of using some sutpid Tune2Air Adapter for the PreFL.

The headlight switch is required along with a Kabel Daviko harnes for the switch to stop any errors.
You need the SAM unit for the ILS to work correctly as the pre facelift SAM does not have a CAN G port

Hello, I'm curious...how does someone find out if they have the ILS system? I own a 2008 C350, with stock xenon low beam. I have been wanting to do the swap...but am unsure if I have to get a new SAM unit?

I'm also interested in the FL dash retrofit as well, haven't been able to find anything through search so far though. Sorry I'm a newb. lol

Facelifting 2013 C63
Hey what's up. I read your post and your recent FaceLift and I had a few questions.
Im about to buy a 2013 C63 that has had some custom work done. However the some of the custom work was done half assed. The headlights are aftermarket and the car didn't come with the P31 package. I would like to put OEM headlights in and also install the ILS just as you did. I'm a little confused on how to install the harness you stated in your post. Also my tail lights are afternarket and I will eventually get the oem ones from the same distributor I got my last ones from. Where did you get your coding done? I'm in the SoCal area btw.

I would avoid that car like the plague. If the mods were done half assed, how well was maintenance done? These cars are pretty bulletproof but they need to be maintained properly. The choice of mods also shows a lack of knowledge and research done about the cars. That's not something comforting when dealing with a car that has an original price of $70-80,000. Just be patient and get a good one
