New Kompressor/ supercharger anyone done the install themselves?
Delivery on my doorstep made my weekend. New supercharger, new belt tensioner and crank case hoses/ gaskets along with new valve cover gaskets. Main question is there a writeup for removal/install of the supercharger. I have torn the engine down to the supercharger in the past to replace hoses and intake gaskets in the past so that's no problem but haven't gone any further. Looks pretty straight forward however prefer to reference someone else's experience first. 2005 C230k.

While you have the supercharger out, you might want to replace the left motor mount. I recently changed the motor mounts, the belt tensioner, and a couple of rubber hoses. I found a broken check valve that had sprayed a slight oil film on the engine. It was located under the supercharger on the engine.

On YouTube, there is a video upload that will basically show all the steps to remove and install the intake manifold. That will get you down to the supercharger. Take lots of pictures as you take apart the engine.

2005 C230 Coupe
JK325es,
I'm preparing to replace my supercharger (2005 C230 Coupe) but I haven't yet collected all of the parts. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the best price on the replacement supercharger, and how did you know which gaskets and misc. parts were needed for the job.
Also, would love to know if you found an answer to your original question of a step by step description for removing the s/c.
Hope your s/c replacement went well.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Jeff

I've had mine in and out on my 02 several times, a little different from yours I think.
It's not hard.
The only tricky part for me was the clip holding the hose in from the intercooler ad making sure the rubber piece from the oil catch doesn't get bunged up, you just have to lube it up well when re-installing.
Other than that, remove belts, just unbolt, and bolt back in.
You'll likely need a universal swivel socket adapater to get a few of the bolts, but other than that. Not hard, just take it slow and stay calm. All farily easy. Make sure you get the belt lined up etc.
Diagram for the belt routing is in the owners manual.
That belt tensioner doesn't look like anything I've ever seen on a mercedes....whats the pn?

That stupid thing is bolted on from behind the supercharger, that's why he is probably replacing it "while in there"

I have removed my supercharger before to replaced the "$12 hose" and its easier than you realise but it does require some time. Here a Link for the PDF instructions to remove supercharger

It is possible, AFAIK. (Provided that you can find the space to fit it in).
But you will need to modify the ECU air-fuel maps etc. May or may not need to install bigger injectors. Lots of considerations.
So perhaps need to talk to a tuner company and see how much they would charge you for that.
