Airmatic issue related to can communication
My visit workshop airmatic light just came on... I have tested everything with my star scanner and everything has been tested to be working. My issue is stemming from a can communication issue that I cant diagnose as I'm not familiar at all with how that communication system works. I'd really appreciate any input anyone may have

It could be a corrupt star/ das installation.
Try to read airmatic unit in another Mercedes with airmatic. Or try another install of das.
What happens if you do a quick test of all modules?
Alternatively you can pay the dealer for 1 hour of diag time so they tell you what it is. You either have a bad star/ das or your airmatic controller is dead/ can bus is damaged.

Hmmm not sure. My button to raise the vehicle doesn't work and I have used it in a different mbz and checking out the airmatic system without issue on a couple different ones actually

i know this is out in left field but on my 06 CDI i was having some weird problems that were hard to duplicate etc
mercedes determined i had too much stuff plugged into my charge ports, was running ipad charger, phone charger, radar detector etc etc on 1 port with extended plugs
the main thing we were finding was several can communication errors....
do you have anything new plugged into the charge or cig lighter ports?

Low main battery voltage is what you refer to. It is a cause for can errors. He needs to attach a battery tender to main battery and see if he still gets errors.
But i still believe he has star/das setup issue. I also do believe he has some airmatic issues as he does have an error on dash, but the misconfiguration is preventing him from troubleshooting correctly. That particular error is typical if you use a c4 mux on a c3 install or if you have chosen the wrong vehicle type in star/das.

Well I actually just installed a new battery which was after the airmatic visit workshop light came on. I only run one plug which is for my charger for the phone. And as far as user error we can scratch that also I've been using this for three years and the build for this was made for a c3 system which is what I have

Im have the same issue with my gl450. I believe its due to a canbus communication issue. My compressor is new aswell as all four airbags and relays and fuses. Have a c3 system.

Well i have finally figured out after tracing electrical faults. I had no power to plug 2 pin 43 traced it back to power failure of f4kn relay. Popped a new one in boom system came back life

Thank you! Had the same issue, Airmatic working exactly 60 second after key on, and after that’s no communication. Your work saved to me hours of troubleshouting.
