vehicle going into Limp Mode, code P246309
My car is 12 months old with 26.000km
In last 7 days it started going into Limp Mode once or twice a day,
At the service station we got the following on the diagnostic:
P246309 The soot content of the diesel particulate filter is not ok. There is a component fault.
I also got codes P033931 and P033664
Anyone had this issues?
Does this mean that the diesel particulate filter has clocked up?
The car us used mostly by my wife for short distances

Out Of Control!!
I can appreciate the confusion. When I started having pains in the chest, I did not say Oh gosh I better do my homework---I understood my limitations and went to the ER.
That analogy applies to you---you don't know SFS about your car and a particulate filter system is expensive----go google the filter system!!

DPFs require regular long trips to get up to temperature. If this is not done the filter clogs. If the clog is not too bad it can be forced to regenerate by a dealer. If it is badly clogged then you may need a new DPF.
Diesels are a poor choice for short trips as the cost of DPF regen and certainly DPF replacement far outweighs the savings in fuel.
