MAF replacement w/O2 sensors

Hello fellow W210 owners,

My CEL came on and it turns out to be my upstream O2 sensors, I was wondering if I should replace my MAF sensor as well?

Why would you want to do that, there is no fault(technical reason),however if you are a preventative maintenance person, I can understand your thinking!!

if your maf was never b4 replaced and you suspect it's going bad, change it for peace of mind.
you'll get a new performance from your car as this is a fairly cheap part to buy.

can you do me a favor, regarding your fawlty o2 sensor.
next time you're out with your car, try this to see if you get the same problems with o2 sensor like i had b4 i replaced mine.

stand still with your car, put stickshift in Drive, then floor it.
tranny will hezitate upshift from 1st to 2nd gear (you might hear a loud bang from tranny when tranny tries to shift to 2nd gear) you have to let go on throttle for 2nd gear to engage, the other gears upshifts w/o problems.

after i had the o2 sensor replaced tranny worked like a charm for me, no more shifting problems.
Boss swears by them o2 sensors for 100.000 miles, they will fail much earlier than that
