HELP me decide: AMG III vs Brabus Monoblock VI
As the title states, I am trying to make up my mind on which set to buy for my silver CLK. They are both two piece wheels, staggered setups, but the AMG are 17" and the Brabus 18". They both sure look nice, though imo the AMG look a bit dated and (maybe even) a bit small for the W209 chassis. What do you guys think??

Brabus !!!!!!!!
And I agree that 17" wheels are a bit too small; IMO
My next set will be 19.... but the car is not a daily.

The Brabus.....although I too think the AMG IV is a better looking wheel than either of those. I actually prefer the cleaner lines on the monoblock version...which is why I have them lol. Imo 17s look too small on a CLK . I run 18s...i think they are a good compromise between the better looks of a19 and ride comfort of a 17 on my daily driver. Assuming you fit the factory recommended tyre sizes on the rims of course.

AMG dated? On this model, yes. Brabus? I beg to differ.

I don't know what level of quality you are looking for, but there are many other aftermarket wheels with very good to excellent quality; in workmanship and performance. Most daily driven, commute focused vehicles, don't require the highest strength and least weight. TSW/Mandrus, Roderick/EuroMag, Vossen, BBS, ADV1, etc are examples of excellent quality aftermarket wheels. There are many with an equitable or lower price point, in general, than Brabus.
You, of course, should get the wheels you like best.... I'm just saying...

both are dated, and with all due respect, so is the W209 so its should be alright, theyre both period correct wheels. its not like youre putting them on a 2016 car.
brabus definitely. more character than the other.
also, i agree with aftermarket quality wheels. ive got TSW in 20s with 30 series tyres on my 212 sedan and God knows how many potholes ive driven into with minimal to nil damage. (knock on wood)

out of those 2 get the Brabus, i dont even think its a close call.
But its your car so really doesnt matter what any of us think. Get what you like best.
