Oil Pan Leaking 2015 C300 ( W205 )
Hi All,
I have 2015 C300 ( W205 ) 16k miles on it. Last week i upgraded my Exhaust to AWE and while my mechanic was installing the new system he discovered oil pan/seal leaking.
Is it OK to take the car to dealer to get the oil leak fixed since I'm still under warranty. will they say something about aftermarket exhaust and void the warranty?
I got quote from another local shop and they said $200 for labor and $35 for seal / gasket and then $60+ mobile 1 oil/filter.
Thanks in advance

Dealership cannot attribute reasonably a changed exhaust to having impacted a leaking sump cover..
It absolutley should be covered by warranty.
I would enage with them, likley you'll receieve no issues at all.

No worries... Just in case they kick off and you can't be bothered fighting it a dump gasket replacement is very straight forward... A good DIY job if you have that back ground....
If you have the tools etc...

Just wanted to update you all, I took the car in as warranty repair for leak and it was repaired and returned to me in few hours.
No issues raised by MBZ Dealer or Tech about Exhaust :-)
Thanks

Replacing oil is standard cos the job is warranty and it's easier for them to allocate the whole job to warranty claim than to split the labour between warranty and cash....
Not saying it's good , but that's normally why....
