wood trim coming off my 2011 E350

The wood trim of my 2011 E350 started coming loose on doors and in the back seat area as well as the trim above the glove box. Have taken the car to local dealer and so far have not received an answer yes or no if MB will fix this. The car is just out of warranty by 6K miles. Anyone else have this issue and if so what were your results?

Wow, first time I'm hearing about the trim coming off.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Had the trim already been replaced on your car under warranty? Are you the original owner? If the trim was replaced, it may have been poorly done, in which case the dealer may not do anything about it.

+1. Post some pics OP.

Unless they did the shotty work, warranty coverage since you are out of time and mileage is doubtful. But if the piece is just coming loose maybe you can apply some double-sided tape.

OP, do you have the sedan or the coupe/cabrio? my coupe's wood ash started coming off on the passenger door. just re-glued it and held up since. common issue with the coupe but not with the sedan hence i asked what car you have.

It's the cabrio - purchased it used (2 years old) and have it for 2 1/2 years - this just happened about a month ago. Took it to a local MB dealer and still waiting for an answer but I'm not hopeful. They said they've seen the wood trim fade but never pull lose like this. This is obviously a problem with the adhesive used to apply the trim when the car was manufactured. Right now it's stuck back on with Gorilla tape - great look for a classy car :-( Thanks for all the responses and I'll let you know how it turns out.

too easy. its really common with coupe/cabrio so yeah. but a simple thick adhesive will do the trick. the fading wood is common with the sedan.
