Fuel trims when tuned (EuroCharged)

Hey all,

wondering if someone can chime in and confirm a few things for me:

1. What is the correct range LTFT for a stock car? +/-5%, correct?
2. How about with a tune? Can anyone tell where LTFT's should be with a tune? Specifically Jerry's (EuroCharged) mail-order tune?
3. And everywhere i look i hear different things about this. Does +5% LTFT mean car is running rich so ECU is pulling fuel back OR is +5% mean car is running lean so ECU is adding extra fuel?

Im totally stock with the EC mail-order tune and my LTFT are +4% to +4.5%. Wondering if im running a bit lean or rich and if this is normal considering i have a tune.

Thanks in advance!

My only suggestion is contact EC.

+5 means ecu is adding 5 percent more fuel.

Did some more data-logging today. Seems like the car leans out more with the AC on... I cant figure that one out... How does the AC have anything to do with fuel trims...

With AC off im showing LTFT +3%. Within 5 mins of AC being on, jumps upto +4%. Shut AC off, falls back to 3% within 5mins. Weird...

Also, bank 1 seems to pretty consistently be +0.5 to + 1% higher than bank 2. They even out for a while but then bank 1 goes back to being more positive most of the time. Never saw bank 2 be more positive. I drove for 3 hrs (140 miles), outside temp 85-90*F.

Does this sound like normal behavior and numbers? If anyone out there is tuned and wouldnt mind doing a little data-logging, id appreciate it big time. Just dont want to go chasing my own tail if this is all normal.

Thank you!

Is it not concerning that i never see it go towards the richer side? Its ALWAYS in the +, meaning slightly lean.

I just want to chase down a vacuum leak if there is one, on the other hand, i dont want to go on a wild goose chase if there is no vacuum leak.

Lastly, can my vacuum readings tell me if ive got a vacuum leak somewhere? What should i be seeing at idle?
