Tire question

Hello!

I'm going to order a set of new rims for my c63s sedan, want to stick with 19" while fitting wider tires then stock 245/265, anyone know whats the widest that can fit without hitting anything? I also want to stick with 35 profile on all wheels. Thanks!

FYI, getting these rims

It depends on the width of the wheels. I run 255/275 on the standard wheels with no problems.

what I've heard so far is that you can go 255 front and 275 rear with the stock wheels.

do you notice a difference in appearance from the outside? compared to the stock setup.

Just because he had no issues does not mean they are the correct fit.
With a narrow rim it will pull the tire in and the tread won't be flat on the ground with the correct pressure. Look at the tire rack for the range of tire size with a certain rim width.
I looked and if I remember the max on the 91/2 in stock sedan rim is 285.
It's not just a rub issue.
I saw KING MONKEY put a 305 on custom rims with ? offset and I think 20 in wheels. You can search for his thread as there are pics.
