Hello,

I have to remove the ignition switch for repair 2009 C300, I have to disconnect the battery as I have to remove air bag and steering wheel to get to ignition switch.

My question will it be ok to leave the battery disconnected for a week or so?

I have to send the ignition switch for repair and wait to get it back, not sure if I should reconnect the battery without the ignition switch on the vehicle.

Any advise?, don't want to do any damage to electronic system.

You could leave disconnected for a LONG time as long as the battery is in good condition (disconnected with a full charge).

Yes, it is in good conditions with full charge. It was replaced a few months ago.

Leave it in the car though. DO NOT put it on concrete floor.

Yes, it is in the car, just disconnected the negative terminal.

Golden, battery should be fine for months like that.

My concern was about the electronic system in the car, not to harm the computer system by disconnecting the battery for a week or so.
