2008 C350 Sport
New Member...Jimbolhi

hi all.... just purchased a 2008 C350 Sport with 65,000 miles. 1 owner...garage kept... Was checked out by Mercedes specialists and all seems great... it's my first luxury vehicle, and first used car, so there were a bit of nerves involved. Always wanted a Benz, but finances said no. Then when I got there financially, a frugal wife of 20 years said no. Well, I got divorced, and got the car. I'd like to know what kinds of issues are common to expect with a car of this age. It has been maintained to MB specs. and beyond. My first question is about car covers. I live in PA, in a wooded environment, and can't garage it. I'd like a car cover to offer reflective protection, as well as minor ding coverage from small acorns etc. Any thoughts?

Welcome to MBWorld and grats on the w204 pickup. Make sure that all the service and TSB have been performed. There's been several TSBs put out on that line, but as long as it's up to date, you're good.

Actually, if interested, I have a car cover that I had for our shop w204 that we only used once for a show. LMK.

Thanx.... I might. Be interested..do you have details? Make...type..etc.
I'm in Pa, and likely can't garage it just yet, so looking for lightweight one, but because of the trees above...wanted some inner protection as well.. If fleece is a good idea at all.. I know if there are things on the paint, the covers can scratch as removed...

This being my first real quality car that wasn't a company car, I'm trying to stay on top of things... Thanx for the heads up on the TSB's .... A little scary to see these having never really paid attention to these before, but I'm sure all vehicles have a plethora of them. I'm pretty sure based on the looks of things and the info from car fax/ dealer etc. that this was well maintained. Thanx again...

Welcome to MBWorld! Congratulations on finally picking up the MB you wanted. Just a tip on some really good product to use if you decide to continue to hand wash it. I have been a big fan of Adam's products: http://www.pelicanparts.com/Mercedes...m-car-care.htm. I use their detail spray religiously. Just spray it on the car while it's wet and use the great white towel to towel the car off. Does wonders. Let me know if you have any questions or ever need any help in the future.
