C300 Comand System - Map Scrolling & Colors

I don't drive our C300 too often, but was in it tonight at dusk and noticed that the map color seemed darker, and really a different color, more gray. I found it much easier to read than the daytime color. Again, it was just getting dark outside, and it may have been the 1st time I ever was in the car under such lighting conditions. Is there a way to set the color?

And 2nd, is there a way to "scroll around" the map, or is zooming in and out the only option?

Thanks, John

yes you just have to go in the menu and find the option under map display settings for night mode.

Holy cow...I cannot believe I never stumbled over this. I was just moving the dial...not PRESSING it 1st, then moving.

As for the day/night/brightness, I will play with those settings next time I drive the car in the daytime. I definitely prefer the night color at least when it is dusk/dark as I find it has much more contrast.

I believe night mode is on automatically, also it's called night mode so it makes sense that it would therefore be easier to see as it gets darker outside.

The car is set to Automatic currently, so it does change. I will drive today and see what is better in the sunlight as it is really sunny here today. I will also mess with the brightness level.
