C220 Amg Sport Plus
OEM Reverse camera unit
Hello, just bought my first Mercedes, 2012 Amg sport plus saloon. I was wondering if I can just buy the OEM Reverse camera unit and get it installed without having the becker map pilot as I've heard you need a map pilot for the reverse camera to work.

Camera unit costs about £350, has anyone bought the reverse camera and what are the requirements for installation ?

make sure the becker map plot can be used in your 2012....it can't be used in mine, just a fair warning.

Yes it's compatible it states that it's suitable for w204 facelift 2011-2015 models UK version.
I wonder why it's not compatible with yours?

no clue why its not. I emailed them they said based on demand its not this was about 3 months ago. unless demand has changed, its a no go for me.
