C63 Black Series Dyno...Any Guesses?
Sup Gents,
I'll be putting my BS on the dyno tomorrow (9/26) and figured I'd have some fun with some guesses since I plan on making a video about it. Sooo...any guesses on what it'll make?
2012 C63 AMG Black Series
19,400 miles
Weistec Tune
Weistec Headers/Exhaust Sytem
ROW Intake
TCU Valve/Tune (not that it makes a difference for #'s, lol)
Intake Spacer.....just kidding, lol.
I know some of you like your details so...its this dyno - http://www.dbptuning.com/main/.
Here's the weather - https://weather.com/weather/today/l/USMN0636:1:US

Depends on which one you run on. They have 2. The Dyno Dynamics will read 10-15% less than the Dynojet.

AMG "guarantees" that an M156 installed in the C63 will be no more than (-) 3% or (+) 1% of rated HP. That's why I disregard what people claim to be the (usually high) output of their motor because that number has no bearing whatsoever on my experience other than that I know mine must be close to theirs accounting for mods etc. regardless of our respective numbers. To put it in practical terms my C63 dynoed at 361 RWHP on a Dyno Dynamics. I was the eighth totally stock C63 to have gone through the shop for a baseline dyno at the time it was done and my car ended up as the second strongest of the eight. My post mod delta is right where it should be but I also see deltas posted for 20-30 additional RWHP with exactly the same mods so it's all relative IMO.

460-480 WHP is where most M156's will be at with Tune / Headers. +/- for Variances but you get the idea.
The M156 is pretty damn consistent, I have also notice Development packages do not make much of any more power compared to the base C63's.

Well, results are in but the proof will have to wait to be posted, lol. I'll upload the vid/dyno sheet tomorrow but it looks like she was on the lower side. 452WHP/405WTQ (might have been 408...I'll have to double check). We did two pulls in 4th and he tried one in 5th. One thing was interesting, I can't remember if this was on the first or second run but there was a small dip in power around 4500. It looked like power was slightly pulled back. The shop said it could have been heat soak which I didn't know was possible on cool days, but they said it was...I'm sure you guys will let me know if it's common or not.
Anyways, based on the guesses I'm sure this will surprise most people but I'm pleased with the numbers...and it sounds amazing on the dyno, lol.
Ps.Fifth gear is taaallllll, lol! He wanted to see if fifth was a better gear for a pull then after going 192(speedo) he said he wasn't going to try it again in fifth, lol.

I had a dip at 4500 rpm when I installed my headers and tune. I did an ECU reset and drove the car and it was conpletely different. Maybe try that and see if you don't pick up maybe 20-30 whp. I was suprised, especially since I had driven about 3,000 miles with the headers and tune before dynoing. Whatever was stored in the adaptations did not like the headers. Haha.

My battery died when I went on an extended vacation, and then when I started it back up again, it felt 100x better, haha.
