Finally Found a 2014 E63S -- bought it!
Hello all,
I have been a lurker here for a while...reading and learning. I have wanted an E63S for a couple of years and was just waiting for the 2014's to become "reasonably priced", and to find the right one of course.
Well, I finally found it. It should be delivered in about a week!
I have had a few other sports cars (2004 GT3, 1995/1997/2008 M3's) and they have all been modified, some pretty thoroughly. I am looking forward to learning more about the E63 and being part of the discussion here. I have been a mod on M3post for several years, but am ready to leave that behind for the AMG world! I am selling the 2008 M3 I ordered in June of 2008...it's been a great car, but I am ready for a change.
I look forward to discussing the E63 will you all. I have seen some great posts and know there is a ton of knowledge here.
On a side note, the car I bought has the 5 spoke wheels. I prefer the 10 spoke (in Silver). If anybody wants to swap/whatever, let me know! I don't even have the car yet, but what the hell...it's worth getting the word out!

Do you have the forged 5 dual spoke wheels? I'm sure you wouldn't have difficulty swapping for cast 10 spoke wheels?
Anyway, welcome!!! Hope to see some pics soon.

Articfox - congrats! curious what you paid for yours and the mileage & options?
Sounds like it was optioned out if you have the upgraded 5 spoke forged rims that I believe were a $2k upgrade. Those rims, plus Distronic, DVD Entertainment and upgraded paint seem to be the biggie upgrades if you can find them.
I am shopping for a 2015 E63 CPO if i can find, but see several 2014's that are nicely priced and are very tempting!
congrats on your new addition

Iridium Silver/Black
CF interior trim
rear side shades
Driver Asst Package
Parking package (surround view)
Bang and Olufsen
MB CPO
Paid about 77, but worth the few extra bucks as it was pretty spot on what I was looking for. Oh yeah, it was custom ordered too.

hopefully rhe the car will be delivered by the end of next week.
I am having an independent PPI done just to document the condition in case shipping causes any damage. I had one buddy who's car got a bit of shipping damage and it was bell to prove. I will post up some pics for the PPI when I get them.

Welcome. I picked up a 2014 with 18k miles back in mid August. I have the 10 spoke ones but they have curb rash. I have a set of HREs I plan on putting on in the coming weeks and I'll send the ten spokes to be repaired. This is a great car. You'll love it.

I have the 5 spoke as well. I actually preferred them, as they are much easier to clean, and show off the bright red calipers very well. Really lets people know its an AMG.
Although lately ive been leaning towards getting the 10 spoke, just to switch up the look. I would only want the silver color however.

HEY!! This is helpful to see all options for the 2014 AMG S : https://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/Digital...AMG-4MATIC.pdf
You are welcome...
Im about to make a purchase this weekend! 2014 E63 AMG-S - Black with night package i think... Anyways i did get pricing on a loaded E43 AMG INFUSED (not a real AMG... as you know) the price ended up at over 80K for a V6 wtf. Going with the 2014 E63 this weekend i hope. Wish me luck.
I do have 1 question to any 2014+ E63 drivers................ Does the "M" mode give you true paddle shifter manual whereas the car will not auto upshift for you/>??

m is true paddle shifting though it has some protection built in ... it'll let you bang off the rev limiter but it won't let you stall the engine if your rpms drop and you need to downshift
it also has a bit of lag at times
holding down the downshift paddle will get you into the lowest safest gear without blowing the engine

I accidentally got stuck in an unseasonably early snowstorm with the summers and made it home .. not ideal but the car did well all things considered
now I have all seasons

I'll let you know how the Nokians work out. I'll had Bizzaks on my other cars/wheels but they wear too fast on a high HP car.

Past: 2016 E63S Wagon, F80 M3
Congrats! I came from a M3 (F80) and had my E63s Wagon for about a month now and loving every moment. It's not nearly nimble as the M3 or other sports cars but the massive torque and the sound (esp. the downshift blip) more than makes up for it. It's also the most comfortable long distance cruiser I've had. Mine has the five spoke forged wheels as well and they are growing on me.

Right now I am taking crap off my M3. I will probably just sell it to Carmax or similar. I can sell my "parts" for a few grand, so it will all wash out. I guess it will be time to part ways with it next week....8 years old and only 25K on the odometer....I guess I should have driven it more. lol
