Impressive that it keeps up with the camaro SS. Also thought the new s5 with the 8 speed auto would do better.

I drove a new Camaro SS while I was shopping for what ended up being the C. Not anywhere near as much fun as I'd thought it would be. It's a performance bargain though.

They are basically the same. MB just reporting better times than they did with the extremely conservative numbers when they released the c450 (in regards to 0-60) - as I expected.
The gearing helps a bit, but MB has taken the liberty to be more aggressive with the reported time.

well considering the price of a c450, i'm not surprised. i'd be surprised if it was slower.
i think the c450 might even be able to break into 11s with some bolt ons and a tune.
then again, at that price point, a shelby cobra or any of the hellcats would smoke a c450.

12.2 at 115-116 is what flashed cars (AMR stage 1 and OE Tuning (flash only) are running from a couple other members. So since you added the downpipes, and ran the same time, similar 60' and basically same trap, they are mainly for sound because the turbos are just maxed out.
DPs are pretty cheap compared to what exhausts cost, so this may be a good solution vs replacing the entire catback.

1/4 mile doesn't mean much to me now than 10-15 years ago.
And a 2010 S4 can already do high 12, low 13. So I don't expect C450/43 will do any worse 6 years later even without the quick DCT that S4 has/had.
The new S5 is gimped with the 8 speed ZF as the DCT is no longer available due to higher output from the newer twin turbo engine. But regardless, I don't remember a time when so much performance is so affordable to the masses. We are all riding in cars that were super car territory only a decade or 2 ago.

Did you get a chance to make the run in the "dyno" mode? I am still curious if it will help the start .I noticed your 60' time was 1.92.If you can get that down to 1,75 you will be under 12 sec.

I've seen the timeslips for AMR stage 1 and the track video of AMR stage 1 going 12.3 and the posted slip of the member above going 12.2 at 115-116mph.
Seems AMR equipped cars are the only ones putting down good track times and power.

What do mean by OE Tuning (flash only) going that fast? OE tuning blog and youtube states that OE Tuning's quickest pass was of 12.68. Unless you have slips or times showing otherwise?

Uptownman ran a 12.2 at nearly 117 with OE tune only in a C400.

The way I think about it guys, 70whp (and 100wtq) gain in my opinion should net about 7 mph faster in the quarter mile.
Let's assume then Stock C450's trap 108-109...you are looking at 115, 116mph cars with just a flash if ran right.
I'd expect with exhaust, downpipes, and a Stage 2 tune, you could maybe see 118 or so with a good 60 ft based on the numbers I've been seeing from the "strong" flashes (i.e OE, AMR...)
