FIRST 10 SECOND RUNS
I want to thank the many members that regularly post their performance information. This has been a great resource. I have not made many posts yet, I will be doing so in the near future. This is my second year with the E55 that was purchased mostly for Land speed racing events. Goal was the most performance with the least amount spent. The drag strip has been my dyno. About 3 weeks ago I was closing in on the 10s. 123-125 traps w/ good cool weather conditions. Just not enough, plenty of 11.1-11.2 slips.I emailed Jerry at Eurocharged and asked about remote dyno tunes race gas tunes and a couple of other questions. Jerry's quick response was try this new 93 tune and see if it picks up at the top and report back I agreed ran an afternoon track rental and based on 65-70 degree temps it did seem to pick it up. Now had 11.0s @ 125 in warmer weather. Emailed Jerry and asked about a tune w/ MS109 mixed with pump maybe 108-109 octane mixed. Jerry's response was just add the MS109 W/ THE 93 tune ECM will adapt to the higher octane. Ran the Saturday test and tune temps mid 50's DA -600. WOW best of 10.92 @127@ w/1.54 60 ft

Zero to 127 mph in 10.9 seconds. Nice!

Congrats on the 10 second pass, your car is pulling pretty hard for the back half of the quarter. What type of mods do you have that are specific to land speed? I made the long trip to Loring for the Spring 2015 event, I had a blast. I'd like to go back if it was closer, but maybe I'll suck it up and make the 11 hr trek.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Blower pulley, tb, headers, ice tank, HX and tune put you in the 10s. That is massive man, what track were you at, and what tires were you running if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks. Really nothing else than mods posted, ice tank filled to the top, suspension on sport 2 to lower it. Numbers posted were before the 82 mm
throttle body new tune and was run on 93 octane. I will be going again for the May spring event next year. It is a fun event about 7.5 hrs for me. Hope I will see you there.

Thanks
Yes there was a little over 100 lbs. Pass seat, bottom of rear seat, trunk fold up panel and aux battery. Car and driver weighed 4175
For sure don't think you could do any better on a box tune ! Car has never been on a dyno.

Did you use a Deka or Braille for the rear battery? Strip tuning is better than any dyno tune

No Braille or Deka. It is 90/t5 automotive battery, It is about 25 lbs less. The 100 lbs is just what had been removed from the car.
Not exactly strip tuned. Jerry never had any data logs. He knew what the car was running at the track. He had done all the tunes since the vey first mod 18 months ago, All were box tunes with no input from my car.
