Don't know if you mean the gas treatment or engine treatment. If you follow MB oil change intervals with synthetic oil that meets MB specs, you should never need the engine additive. If you use top-tier gas you should never need the gas additive. Regarding gas additives, there are documentary videos online that show the cleaning performance of gas additives is minimal, at best.

Stay away from seafoam. If you don't do it right, you can hydrolock your engine which means you need a new engine. It's just snake oil. It's only really used when you've got nothing to lose and it's no big loss if it doesn't work. I wouldn't use any snake oil on a car that's running fine. Even if it's not running fine, if it's one step from the junkyard then yeah maybe, but probably not an MB, they still have some value even when they're a junker.

I would stay away from using these kind of additives in any brand vehicle, unless the car is on it's last legs and ready fo be junked.

If you want to buy something for roadside emergencies or as a trickle charger for extended storage of your car, buy one approved for MB use. Be concerned about compatability with your vehicle rather than if it meets a specific price point. Otherwise you can do some serious damage to either your battery or potentially damage your car. Yes it is a good idea to have one of these. Just make sure it is the right one for your car and you know how to use it properly.

Simple logic would tell you not to do it. What problem are you trying to fix? Where's the data that says this actually works? What's the risk/reward factor? That the car is still running fine afterwards isn't exactly a ringing endorsement, it sounds like the car was running fine before too. It's like playing russian roulette, everything is fine until there's a bullet in the chamber.

Nothing is wrong , just wanted to do it , just cause... but i also seen YouTube videos where a guy was testing it , and the difference is minimal.. its lile almost no point in doing it. So yeah... im good. Russians play russian roulette better lol jk jk

A Mercedes Master Certified Technician told me they've never used Seafoam in anything. If you use top tier gas all the time you'll be fine.

I use stabile 360 for storage only for my boats, generator, mower and golf cart. I also used it in my CLK550 during winter storage before I sold it. Never had an issue.

I already got the CTEK long term/Maintenance charger, but found about that other device that could be useful too. You know, without having to depend on other cars.

Yeah, I saw a video where there is proof with before/after images of the cylinders of the car. It seems it cleaned up some carbon build up.

Had a B service done on my E350 at 36000 miles and the dealer put in a gas additive.

Because they can charge you for it. It's the upsell. Ask them where in the manual that Mercedes recommends it.

I can tell you this about seafoam and any other additive, When it first came out few years back I had 5 times the amount of carb rebuilds that year,90% said they had used seafoam fuel additive. Well Jetskis have plastic and rubber type parts in carbs, it actually softened the rubber so much so and even melted it in some.So if it does that in carbed engines I'm sure it has to affect the rubber parts in MB. fuel systems. I have always found if something is running bad or needs repair nothing in a can ,can make it right!!!! If its running well why would you add anything? I have built race motorcycles and race cars since my first when I was 12 a 1970 Yamaha AT1 125CC and numerous cars from a 1970 Firebird Formula to a 1970 nova SS Twin 4 bll. solid lifter, 4 bolt main, with a tunnel ram and cool can. Boats a triple engine Eliminator 1990 23' with 3 modded 2.5 offshores. None have ever needed anything from a can except motor oil. The only additive I have ever used with any success is STA-BIL and that should never be needed as you have no business running fuel older than 6 months if it has alchol in it. Hey just my 2 cents worth.
