Deal or No Deal?
Guys,
can use your input on the deal...
Looking at this fine automobile: http://www.statecollegemotors.com/se...s&st=Price+asc
Was offered 78K without CPO, 79.5K with CPO.
My counter for 78.5 with CPO was declined.
What are your thoughts and recommendations?
Thank you!!!

I would wait, let them call you back and tell them you are firm on your number. I don't know the market, but to think they can't budge on their number is just a way to squeeze another $1,000 out of the customer, despite the inflated list price. They work on emotions and it's a job for them. People fall in love and over look price for what they want, don't let that happen to you.
Confirm ALL the additional costs. It seems dealers do what ever they want with document fees and addtional costs, they may lead you to believe you are getting a good deal, yet add additional cost elsewhere.
For the difference in price I would pay the premium for CPO. It is always good to speak of other cars and colors elsewhere you are considering. In the end you can always wait and prices continue to drop , but if it's what you want today and that's the price do your best to get it down as much as you can. Good luck.
