Factory alarm siren location

Does anyone have a CLUE where the siren is for the factory alarm in a 2005 E500? I noticed today that it just stopped working. I hit the panic button and can hear a very faint blown speaker sound siren noise coming out so my guess is that it went bad and needs replacing. If anyone has any diagrams on where it is located that would be great. If you have ever changed one and have some advice that would be even better. Thanks

Alarm

Just out of curiosity does your alarm sounds like wounded duck? Staticky like? Per the instructions i wished it was done when i changed out the front bumper, but nevertheless seems like a simple job to complete. Thank you again for posting.

At first it sounded fine then it got vary static and crackly and not it doesn't even make a sound. So as I seen in the diagram it shows its behind the driver side front wheel on the inner fender.

Yes, seems like I'll be replacing the siren too...I'll let you know how it turns out.

I just had the fender liner out a couple days ago and noticed my siren was unplugged. I left it that way. My thinking was.. if it ain't fixed, don't broke it!
