Polar White C43 Sedan
Today was supposed to be the day....sniff....
Well I signed Tuesday for a white C43 sedan with most options (premium, drivers, Distronic, LED, 360 Camera, HUD but no AMG leather).
Car was supposed to be delivered today after they did their stuff including tinting.
Well got a call yesterday afternoon stating they couldn't find the keys . They have quite the story as to why.
So now they claim they need 7-10 days to get new keys .
Oh well, its better than if I had ordered a car and I've been waiting a long time to make this decision so I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

Now, call me paranoid. But I have worked at dealerships. The lengths they go to make and save money and face is incredible. I would be a little curious as to the actual reason; vehicle could of been damaged at the dealership and are trying to fix it or something like that. Keys do not take 7-10 days. I would go down there and ask to see the car. But, thats just coming from someone who has seen it all.

I sat in the car the evening I signed for it and went again today to check on the car and it hadn't moved nor did they have the tint done because they can't roll down the windows.
They are now saying the keys should be here Thursday so I guess I'm holding my breath for 5 more days.
She does look nice though.

I bet if you push for them to redo the paperwork they will expedite cutting the new keys. It's quite unfair that you will not have use of the vehicle for the first 7-10 days of your loan/lease. I'd get them to redo the paperwork using the date they will receive the keys as the start date to your lease or loan.

I haven't taken delivery yet so the lease payment date should start when I get the car.
Only a few more days now.

Probably time to start a pool as I just spoke to the Dealer and now it looks like they will get the keys next Wednesday.
If I was holding my breath I would have been dead a loooooong time ago.

I've signed and given a deposit. It's not that easy to get out of a deal here in Ontario and of course then all I end up doing is trying to find another car in the config I want which was difficult in the first place.
So all I can do is simply have patience.

I would bug them every day and get favorable compensation

Sumpin ain't right alright.
They claim the keys may have been stolen so they need to get a whole new set and reprogram the car so the old set can't be used anymore. Apparently it's a big deal vs. just losing one of your FOB's and getting a new one.
Oh well, now I wait till next week.......

That's why I hate dealerships. They are always lying or hiding something. Always. I can't wait till the day comes where we order straight through the manufacturer and get rid of the these scumbag middlemen.

So I finally got the car last night.
Sweet ride for sure, love the HUD and the AMG screen in the gauges cluster.
Comand is definitely going to take a bit of getting used to, simple things like trying to make a phone call seem quite complicated which shouldn't be the case as it should be intuitive, easy, and therefore safer to do so when the phone is paired with the car.
And of course we have a snow storm warning over the next day and I have to get snows put on tomorrow morning. Should be fun driving in the crap on P Zero's......
