Need some information about a fuel pump
Hello,
I own a C220D (W202.121) manifactured in 1995. The VIN is WDB2021211A332926.
I have been driving it for nearly 2 years now and I believe I have bought it with the problem Im about to describe. It leaks diesel and pretty much all mechanics I went to see say its the Lucas pump.
Now I know what it would cost to buy a new one and that's completely out of the question.
What Im asking is, since the repair money is kind of a issue, could someone with more knowledge than me share some info on exact model nomber of the pump my car uses, so I can start looking for another one ( a used one
)
Also does anyone know which models and years of manifacturing have the same pump as mine?
And last but not least, if anyone has some side info on other possible solutions than buying a new one for 2500 euro, or refurbished one for close to 1800 euro, because that's really more than I gave for the entire car

Out Of Control!!
Based upon your VIN your engine number is 604.910 00 055347and your pump is 604 070 00 01----that pump is used on all 604.910 and 912 engines with engine numbers up to 086383, therefore be careful when buying used as you must know the engine number that the pump came from----else you will be back whining my used crappy pump does not work bla bla
