10.1@136 on 93 octane
I swapped in a stock M113k engine, converter, and trans in my W208 CLK55 with Weistec blower and other supporting mods. Had Jerry from Eurocharged send me a conservative tune for 93 octane (I saw a max of 15 degrees of timing in my logs) and went to the track to test. Well ended up running a 10.1@136mph. Not bad! Could definitely do 9s with more timing. Also I weighed the car right after my pass and scale read 3750 pounds. Full interior and no skinnies.
It it is a stock motor from valve cover to oil pan (I had to swap oil pump and oil pan to fit my chassis), stock trans (even the solenoids), and stock converter.
I drove to and from the track and run around on the street like this. These cars have tons of potential yet to be tapped. If we can get past this 17psi limit and tune on E85 the M113k motor has tons of potential!
For those of you that don't know I previously ran 9.6@146mph with built motor, ported heads, higher stall converter (modified stock), and built trans on race gas/tune (22 degrees of timing max in log). I also ran 10.0@138 with a stock clk55 motor from the junkyard but had built trans, converter, and race gas/tune. Wish more people would tinker with these things instead of just sell junk parts. Lots of untapped potential

Thank you
I have pics of the car. You want to see pics of the swap process? I didn't take any sorry
Thanks!
Figured I might as well see what it would do

Sure. I will try to upload some when I get time. I posted the link to YouTube video of the run
Thanks. Yup or more timing or higher stall converter

Time and trap speed is OFF THE CHARTS and got me all jacked up all I could think of was "Congrats". I don't know what to be more impressed with the ET or trap speed!
So, here is the grocery list of questions and assuming other folks may be wondering the same. Can you provide more details on the following (please)?
Can you post your time slip?
Anything special on the launch technique?
Other than the Weistec what are the bolt on mods (all details please - pulley sizes, etc.)?
What cooling mods?
How many pounds of boost?
Drag Set-up - What tires and pressure?
Where was the run (DA, temp, etc.)?
Were you running a 250 or 300 shot of nitro (smiley face)?!?!?!?!?!?!!?
I am sure I will think of more. Again, awesome!

Very nice!
You can also use a voltage clamp on the MAP sensor input to limit the max input voltage to the ECU. You will loose tuning resolution, but it might keep it from pushing off the edge of the table.

Very Nice.
I would love to know the details on the swap. In a few years when I have space for a dedicated drag car I want to build one like yours. I bet it would be fun to run an 8.90 in that car. ;-)

Sure.

Anything special on the launch technique?
Not really. Stock converter doesn't allow you to raise rpm much
Other than the Weistec what are the bolt on mods (all details please - pulley sizes, etc.)?
Too much to list
What cooling mods?
Heat exchanger, CM90 pump, trunk tank, meth injection
How many pounds of boost?
17
Drag Set-up - What tires and pressure?
16" CCW with 255 50 16 Mickey Thompson S/S ~17-18PSI
Where was the run (DA, temp, etc.)?
MIR. According to dragtimes first one was -554 and second was -421
Were you running a 250 or 300 shot of nitro (smiley face)?!?!?!?!?!?!!?
500 shot go big or go home
I am sure I will think of more. Again, awesome!

I agree this engine has high potential which now that I am doing my own thing will be tapping into more. I too am about to start a little project and will push the stock engine to its absolute peak. Even my local machine shop said Jeez the heads on the engine out flows the Chevy heads even after porting, LOL. I've seen the potential years ago but just hadn't had the opportunity to do it so now I am.
Nice to always see you on the track making big things happen, keep up the great work.

Just about leaving off idle, nice. She hooks well.
I'm amazed AMG guys can get stock NAG1 clutch packs to not scream for mercy at that level.

How come no one has taken the E55 under 10 yet? Isn't Ahmad's CLK nearly as heavy as an E55 at something like ~3800 pounds?
What surprises me is the M157s haven't even beaten the E55 yet, correct me if I'm wrong? I think the fastest E63 is still mid 10s and there was one CLS63 that went 10.35 in the UAE. Does that have to do with that torque limiting thing their gearboxes have?

Maybe the clutch packs are different in the 722.6 vs NAG1. Not sure.

As far as I know there hasn't been an M157 in the 9s but an M5 ran 9.9. I believe the torque limiting would have something to do with that. There are people dropping big money into the M157 and not getting very far. Granted the M157 is heavier than even the E55. When I ran my friends car his race weight was 4650 pounds! Need even more power to move all that weight
