Good price on this 507?
8 months later and Im still looking . Current lease is almost over so now's the time.
How does the price on this 507 look?
http://www.selectluxury.com/2014-mer...amg-c-1339.htm
Its the color and interior I wanted. Has lane tracking, lighting package, multimedia, keyless-go. Doesn't have drive assistance (have it on my current car and never use it anyway), no carbon fiber (not a deal breaker) but NO LSD
I think its priced a little high and the dealer doesn't seem to want to budge but haven't pushed hard yet. I'm thinking its a 52-53k car. What do you guys think?

May want to look at this guys thread. Didn't look at location relative to you though. Different interior but has lsd.

I am surprised that a lease return was auctioned off by Mercedes. Looks like the car has been for sale for a month.
Have you actually offered $52K? That would be a good starting point - to sit down and make some offer. The $55K isn't terrible and they may be willing to let it sit there another month if they think someone will pay it. Up to you to find out if they'll let it go for less sooner or wait for a price drop.

OP, I contact this dealer last month before they had photos or even knew what they had - lol
Unfortunately I need a sedan, which is proving to be harder than I thought to find with the options & mileage I want
Nice car though.
GL!

But other than that, Ill submit my offer and see what comes of it. I wont be buying the car at their listed price so I will walk away

I believe they purchased the car about 19 days ago and listed it for sale about 2 weeks ago. Id like a sedan also but much harder to find. I would settle for the coupe

I messed with the rear & center diffs on my last car (S4) and as much as everyone claimed/advertised factory-like drive-ability; I could definitely feel the difference around town and it wore on me eventually.
I'd really like to avoid making any major changes like that this time around...

Lol, good luck finding one with an LSD here. Like realjones88 said, it was an option that most skipped and/or just added afterwards.
Wavetrac and Quaife are the two main brands that members go for. They are just as good, if not better than OEM. I have also seen some who switched from OEM for aftermarket due to performance. I have Wavetrac and personally love it for DD.
You know, I read that but really how good is it compared to the OEM unit? From what I gather it may perform slightly better on the track, but how's the daily drive-ability and comfort? Any difference?

Now that I think about it, did anyone see that low-mileage O-Black 507 sedan that was for sale last month? I think it was a CPO from a dealer in TX? Sucker was GONE in like 2-days by the time I got photos from the stupid internet sales rep and realized what it was!! So pissed...

Good info guys. The LSD is not a deal breaker since there are aftermarket options that according the member reviews, perform just as well. I wont be taking the car to the track but my heavy foot can probably guarentee some high rpms on a daily basis. So it may be in my best interest to opt for an aftermarket lsd if the car I purchase doesnt have one.
At this point I gave the dealer and offer so lets see what happens
There is a 2014 507 with all the same options but has a all black interior with 20k miles at mercedes benz in texas listed at 48,888. Interesting

Hard to say how relevant it is, but I just picked up a 2014 507 coupe in California for 50k. Mine has every option EXCEPT THE LSD, remaining warranty until 50k miles (it's got 30ish right now). Dealer was asking 55.
Interestingly, I also looked at a car that was spec'd identically to the one you're looking at. That one was listed at 54k, but it had 40k miles.
Again, not sure what the comparison CA to NY is, but it looks like a good deal to me!

Proposed my offer of 51k to the dealer after showing them 2 very similiar vehicles for price comparison and harping on the no LSD option. 2 phone calls later and we settled at 52k for the car.
was planning on flying down there and driving back but after I accounted for all the expenses associated with the trip, I realized a closed carrier transport was only 100$ more and a better option.
Kind of weird buying a vehicle sight unseen before but the low milage, clean vmi from benz itself and still under factory warranty puts me at ease.

Nice Job.........
Congrats on the purchase. You'll love the car and won't be able to get enough of it. A quick couple of things to point out
* Never could figure out where that 186 MPH delimiter statement comes from - see it all the time. Take a look at my window sticker....174. Not a big deal, just noticed the discrepancy. Hopefully your window sticker comes with the car.
* Don't be disappointed when you discover there is no headlamp washer. It too is in all the descriptions, but it doesn't exist on our cars. I was told they were discontinued due to poor reliability, yet the bumpers still have the cutouts. Go figure
Enjoy in good health my 507 brother..
Sorry about the upside down photo. Loaded it both ways and it still came up wrong side up.

My car also has an MSRP of $90K so there must be some additional equipment on my car that your prospective does not. My car is also a southern California car, which means no rust, no salt, etc.
