Love to hear if you figure it out, I haven't yet. I have the Pre-Safe warning but no SRS light, so might not be the same issue.

OK to reset the Pre-Safe message with a Mercedes star diagnostic you have to resynchronize all the seat positions of the driver and passenger seat, all even the head rest.Syncronize the sun roof and all the windows and the steering wheel. Then erase codes and the message should go away after all have been perform.

I know how to synchronize the windows and sunroof as I've had to do those so many times due to disconnecting the battery to work on the car, but am not familiar with the seat and headrest sync. I've heard the steering is just repeatedly turning lock to lock, but that never changed the pre-safe warning. I must have missed the pre-safe when running scans with my SDS as well since I never found any faults I thought would cause it. Shardul, would you mind giving a quick direct on syncing the steering, seats, and headrests? I'd love to get rid of the "not ready" warning every time I start the car. Also, I've never found any reference to the pre-safe on my SDS when I looked, maybe I'l hook it up and look again, but if you know where....

I have tried the seat reset up down in out hold in each position for 2 seconds, did not work for me .I think it's possible to change coding in instrument cluster to no pre safe.

I got into pre-safe mode few weeks back, then engine check light and car would go into limp mode. Cleared it at the shop. Drove it for a few miles and it came right back on. When we checked the transmission error codes it showed I was slipping 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear.

Sent it for transmission check and repair. The shop eliminated all possible causes and then I had to get the transmission rebuilt!

Get it tested by trusted shop. It could be conductor plate contacts, valve body, or worse.
