It's me, in my SL600 making a run across the bay on I-10. I used my Treo 650 Smartphone to take the video, but I didn't realize until afterwards that I had it set to record in the lowest possible quality. Sorry for that, y'all. Anyhow, I just start off from the on-ramp and put the hammer down going across the bay-way until I hit 160, then let my foot off the pedal until I get back to about 80. Plenty of wind noise, and all that wind made the top of my head numb and tingly by the time I got slowed down. It was a nice little rush. Hope you enjoy.

Can any one help me post my video clip on some longer lasting host system?

A board member offered a few years ago to host my 0 to 130 mph run ... but he must have dumped it.

I is a good Tach / Spedometer flick with good motor sound.

I know nothing about U-Tube.

The file I have is am MVI off my Canon G3 camera.

There was one of a 600SEL without mufflers on youtube, but it was deleted. Sounded raw though, wish the fella' kept it posted.

To 60mph, that is the kind of results I am seeing when lightly power braking. 500 is no slouch!

Been following the thread linked below for a little while now. Some guy crammed an M120 into his R107, and after working through a nightmarish amount of wiring, got the thing to run. Mods appear to be a custom intake and exhaust system, and the ensuing sound is a very mean one. Much credit to Roncallo at Mercedesshop.com for his efforts and fantastic result.
