liner

my experience with the area was; " no latch" when the liner was not fully seated into the recess. This included the fold down side wings that flex inward to expose the side screws ( phillips head #1 ) as well as the single front fastener in the middle. the spring tension and ratchet system of the closer was not defective in my repair process. Hope this helps your investigation.
