The centre glovebox above the AC vents has an extremely loud and irritating rattle. I used to get by with it by just keeping it open, but I always knew this was not a permanent solution. I noticed before if I pushed down on the lid (while in the closed position) the sound good be stifled, but after much inspection, I still cannot see what is causing the rattle (and indeed you will find that even if you take a flashlight and look, there isn't much you can see anyway).
Last week, it got WORSE. I rounded a corner very quickly and I heard what sounded like a loose screw go from one end of the centre dash to the other. Now, even if I press down on the lid, the sound is still there, and in the open-position, it still vibrates.
I did a search on this, but could not find any posts with "glovebox vibration". I would have imagined this to be a common problem.
1) Has anyone dealt with glovebox vibration?
2) Ideas on what is causing this vibration/buzzing noise?
3) Is removal/installation of the glovebox a DIY thing a beginner is capable of? (I have never even changed a tire.)
Many thanks in advance for your input.

Shine your flashlight on the very rear of the glovebox and you should see 2 philips head screws. They're painted black, and against the black material, they can be difficult to find. Check to see that both screws are 'snug'. Avoid over-tightening these screws as they also control the position of the lock release in the right side of the box. You'll know that you over tightened if the pushbutton opener fails to work. At this point your f'd-
