I have a 1991 300 SL. There was an awful noise coming from around the serpentine belt area. The tension-er was shot as well as the belt. I replaced the tension-er, and belt. I have purchased the correct size belt, as well as have it properly placed on the pulleys. The noise continues to be as loud as ever. It will some times stop after a bit of run time, but will always get worse when the wheels turn the slightest bit. Finally the belt is extremely loose around the pulleys.
Any Suggestions would be great! This has been a problem since I bought it in November 2013!!
