SL/R129: SRS light on at start

1995 320SL
SRS light on at start
I have a 1995 SL320 with about 90,000 miles. When I start it the SRS light comes on and stays on until I drive about half a block, then goes out and stays out until I start it again.
Any ideas what's up?
