Where to next ?
Good afternoon all, I could use a little help.
97 Sl500 It's been sitting a while. Got a ck.eng. light & the code said miss fire on 7 &8. So I put new plugs in 7 & 8 (decided to see if that was the problem before putting in all 8. ) the light went out . Test drive time. Runs smooth in town @ 100-mph then back to the low end miss & ck.eng. light came back on. It is not overheating ( just put in new rad & fuel pump, yes I drained the tank) All the fluids are fresh.
My question is what would be the next logical step in diagnostics ?

Same codes (P0307 and P0308)? Does your scan tool let you pull the freeze frame data?
You could try swapping the COPS an see if the misfire follows them...
