You would first have to shave 1500 to 2000 pounds off one just to make it a viable project...

Nope. As said above these cars weigh a ridiculous amount in order to do that. An sl600 weighs 500lbs more than a volvo xc70!

Still have over 1000lbs I can take off when I get the money for more carbon fiber development (100% stock uncut frame / chassis)
