Could be, but too small? It's only about half the diameter of a typical cigarette lighter port.
Might not mean anything though. If this is a trickle charger port, it just might be brand specific. The configuration inside the port looks like something you would see for a blade style light bulb(although more heavy duty) and not a cigarette lighter. The wiring behind it does look pretty stock though.

It is definitely not factory stock, could be some dealer installed thing.
Where does the wiring go?

I have a charger that you plug into a cigarette lighter socket that will Charge power tools for me. It may be for something like that.

I forgot to mention that my adaptor has a big socket and a small socket. I have never used the small socket. I only have used the big socket. Sorry I did not mention that

Replace connector
Just buy a connector that fits into what you have already installed. It should not be hard to find the right connector via mail order or Radio Shack if you can find one. Just be sure to connect positive to positive and negative to negative. It's a nice thing to have!
