HELP 99 600sl BAS/ESP light on and no shifting. Bushing is good.Disconnected battery and still nothing.Any ideas???

I know you want to get off on the cheap, but there is a fault in the BAS\ESP module system(twelve different components),which can't be accessed with the homie scannar and will require you to find someone with advanced diagnostics who can define the fault in five minutes----the alternative ride a bike for awhile!!

FYI--the bushing has nothing to do with this problem you are either in mechanical or electronic limp mode!!
