300 SL R129 1992 ,engine swap
Hi Guys.
I am newbie to forum.I found R 129 300 SL for sale with diesel engine.
Car have 200 D engine(72 HP) i guess it is imported from W 124,with manual transmission.So my question is what engine can I take like a donor with automatic transmission( if i can't find original 300 sl engine with automatic transmission) for this car?Can I swap engine and automatic transmission from clk 200 kompressor 2000 year of production?Does I have to change diff?What is best option ?I ask this for calculation costs of labour and spare parts(probably I will need to buy some spare parts) if I buy this car.I search this forum for related posts but it's mostly about swap bigger and more powerful engines,which need time and money.I ask for opinion for best practical solution.I am really fun of R 129,I hope find solution that suit my budget.
