Replace Radiator ???
1997 SL 320 Radiator not leaking, but signs of "weeping" at seam. Temp never gets above 80C, so no pressure in system. Should I replace ??? Is it difficult, and where can I get an inexpensive replacement ???

Out Of Control!!
Well, I guess it all depends upon how much the vehicle gets used. If it's my daily drive I would start to look(internet, local rad repair shops, bla bla) for alternatives!!

You are probably looking at around 500$ for a replacement radiator. They are out there and the job is normally not anything more than can be done on your average lazy weekend. Still, if you know of a good radiator shop in the area, they may be able to recondition your existing for less so I would call around a bit.

Because of the R 129 radiator design and composition, my experience tells me that will be the next "shoe to drop" in our repair saga. junctions with hoses have plastics, so the old way of repair won't give the same "rebuild" results. I plan an all metal replacement, but haven't faced it yet. It will be great to learn others solution.
