Looking for the 16pin box

Ok, I have done a bunch of reading and due to a Check engine light on I am on the hunt for the 16 pin box to test the code.

I have seen several folks access it next to the computer pass side up by the windshield of the car.

I pulled the small cover off and found the 38 pin connector

I then pulled off the entire cover by removing the 3 silver hex screws and....nothing.

Can someone please direct this new owner to the proper location of this device.

Thanks!

You don't have a 16-socket connector. The 38-socket replaced it on the V-8 in MY1993.

Well that would explain it, Semi annoying that most folks refer to the 16 pin connector, looked so much easier to test than this thing. Looks like I need to get some parts to read these then, Def not going to try to just put an led on those little sockets.
