Trans Service Question - Help!
2002 SL500, 722.6 transmission. "Lifetime Fill"
I just drained and measured some truly disgusting ATF. I drained 6 quarts + 22 ounces and DID NOT drain the converter. Is this right?

2002 Mercedes Benz SL500
Replaced screen/filter, drain plug washer, fill cap/o-ring and pan gasket. Installed/torqued and tight as a drum. No leaks, yeah! Took 6.5 quarts ATF, so it may have been a wee bit overfilled from PO and it took forever adding fluid through that tiny filler tube without making a huge mess. Of course, it didn't help that I was working with gallon jugs. What a pain in the ***.
