R129 roll bar stuck in up position, top won't work
Hi,
I have a week using my new 1996 r129 sl500 ( have it for 6 months, had key and immobilizer problems, new key and ECU).
I have used the top almost everyday in this week, today I was showing the car to a friend, and he lower the top, and then raised the roll bar.
Then when he was going to raise the top ( roll bar raised) I told him to just open the switch, he tried to raise the top, Windows went down but nothing happened, I told him to turn the car on, and nothing the top do nothing ( no light) try to lower the bar, nothing happened. There is no light or warnings on, the top button doesn't lit when you try to raise it, but it blinks when you try lo lower and it raise the Windows finishing the opening cycle.
I went to see the pump and there reservoir has fluid in level, and when you try to low the bar I heard a click, but nothing happens, even in the trunk when I heard the click of the relays, but there's no change, I check the fuse in the trunk and they are ok.
Try the reset bar procedure ( 10 seconds up position button) and also disconnect the negative pile of the battery for 1 minute.
Please help

Out Of Control!!
You either have an electrical or hydraulic issue and to correctly diagnose the problem on that very complicated system you need factory or equal diagnostics---all else is a loss of bandwidth and a waste of your time!!
