Hardtop lining colour
Hi, my 2001 Brlliant Silver SL500 has a black interior and a grey hardtop lining.
Is that normal? I'm quite certain it's the original hardtop. I wonder why it isn't colour-matched?

Yes, that appears to be normal. The SL I had was the same, black interior, but the roof/ceiling lining was grey. I also had a 1987 420SEL with black interior, but the roof/ceiling was grey.
I guess color matching black was something they started to do in the mid 2000's.
