Nope, according to MB it is an SL600...or was originally when sold new.
It could have been converted after initial delivery where the AMG documentation would have to be present to confirm.

From what I read, the SL72 and Sl73s were converted after being sold. This is how most, or all, AMGs were converted before MB acquired AMG. So the fact that it was sold as a 600SL does not mean it's not a legitimate SL73. Call AMG to find out.

I see you've posted this request on about 5 different forums. Then never bothered to follow up after people tried to help... why don't you do some work yourself?

Right... and I love it when people contribute to try to help, and the original poster never even updates the thread with what happened, or how it turned out. The minute they get what they want, or lose interest, they stop caring.
Sad.

As per mentioned car in Brunei, suspecting that it could be one of its Royal Family (Prince ?) owned, then one needs to approach with caution because couple years back, my very close friend who happens to be expert broker was invited to appraise the vast collections of super exotic cars and he did not have good results/impressions of the overall conditions even though most of them were storage queens.

Surge, don't know about now but as mentioned few years back, my friend was invited by the owner (prince) privately by his jet to/fro US to Brunei to evaluate his collections. My friend does most of his large deals underneath the open market so they do not surface. Long story short, the unbelievable collections of super exotics were in not so good conditions even though they were seldom used that he basically walked away without pursuing the deal.
Not sure what happened after that and possibly some of these cars surfaced in the open market.
