Anyone With Interior NOISES

Several Posts in the past have made mention of interior NOISES in their SL's, some complaints about creaking roofs, others with various rattles. I am curious if anyone is having any of these problems, and what fixed them.

Noises

Stephen,

What I've noticed is that there are a lot of little noises that are actually normal. The seat fans, the seatbelt retractor and the door locks and the pulse massage function all make their own characteristic noises. Other than that, my SL is totally quiet although it is brand new.

I have little creak near the instrument cluster which I think is comingfrom the gull wing canopy thingy.
And apart from a slight whistle from the door seal everything is spot on.

I got my air whistle fix in my doors the first week of owning my car. It drove me crazy.

I have a "light rattle" in the clock area. I rarely hear it. Maybe 1 or 2 rides out of 10. Additionally, there is another light jingling in the roof in my back drivers side corner. Kind of like a loose piece of metal swinging back and forth lightly touching other pieces of metal. Again, this is only heard 1 or 2 rides out of 10. I wonder why I only hear these noises sometimes and not all the time? I think that the way the wind is blowing might have something to do with it?

I recall Greg Elmasian, a fellow member post something about the adjustment of the roof, but that was long time ago and don't hear from he since the last year, but I try to find out.

I had what I thought was a noise from the roof where I thought it wasn't locking on the passenger side. It happened when I hit a bump. Two engineers went out in it and it transpired that the door hinges needed adjustment. That fixed it.

I should really get it fixed. I hear the same whistle in a CL65 a friend has. Thought it was a Mercedes thing
