I was wondering if you changed that push button on the drivers side door handle, Just today mine stoped working, I'll call the dealer tomorrow but maybe you have done it already. If it's not too complicated I'll do it myself. Thanks!

keyless lock button
do you still have that info on replacing the keyless lock button on the door handle? The keyless lock on driver side outside door handle no longer locks the door. Please send me info to dchau1@yahoo.com

i've took apart this microswitch and clean it, it's steel frame holding it on upper and downer side. I've tried to put contacts together with wire (inside switch) bot no sucess for me, it still doesnt work. I don't know if it's posible to take the handle apart (if it ain't sealed together in plastick).

quiete easy, just remove torx bolt hidden in the door weatherstrip, then pull the handle foward, disconnect the switches and just install the new door handle.

My car would not lock from the drivers door handle .
I was looking into its rubber button and curiously I pried it open from the top and it opened using my finger nail and thereby exposing years of added polish , wax , soap ...
Swabbed it out with a Q-tip saturated with acetone and sanded the contacts .
Now that's what I talking about Simple cleaning vs. a few hundred dollar fix .

My rubber "cover" doesn't seem to want to stay put (after removing). I was going to liberally soak with electric contact cleaner. There seems to be a covered button/microswitch that is the contactor.
Neither side works (but all the other locking mechanisms work, and touching the handle unlocks) on my 2004 SL55...is there a fuse or some other troubleshooting I should look at first as my switches (both sides) looks clean/good.

did you find a solution for this? mine just popped off and now won't stay on either. everything works, so don't want to buy another handle just for this button.
