Its not your shocks itself, its your lower control arm. (sounds like and old man rocking chair correct?) If you have Airmatic which I have, or ABC which you have this is a common issue. You can solve it temp or replace the control arm on the side which is making the noise, but you normally have to do both.
Temp: Spray it with WD-40 it last for about 6 weeks then repeat lol
Fix: Control arm dealer OEM part approx $300 plus labor
Aftermarket same quailty $200, side mechanic will do it around $80 in about an hr

SL500 and A-CLASS
My extended warranty company only replaced the left control arm. The right control arm look good.
But if you stop having sex in your car, you may reduce the squeaking.

My 2004 MB SL500 recently started squeaking really bad from the Front Right suspension. The reason I know that because even when parked in my garage with engine turned off, I pushed down each corner of my car and only the front right passenger was squeaking. Also when I turned the steering wheel, it made squeak. The Mercedes of Portland, OR quoted me $1400 to replace my ball joint mounted on the steering knuckle. I decided to take to another Mercedes experienced shop (not dealer) and they were able to replace the same OEM part for with labor for total $500. Now my car drives like a dream no more squeaking. I am a happy camper and saved over $900 back into my pocket. I attached some photos of the OEM part they replaced that took care of my suspension/steering squeaking.
