Interior LED light replacement
Hi All,
I recently started to change the interior bulbs in my SL to LED. It's been pretty smooth and so far they've all been changed except for the done and map lights and that's where my problem is. I just can't seem to get the dome lights working.
Last night I gave them another shot. While I managed to get one bulb working temporarily, I could never get both working. I ended up just swapping them out for the old bulbs again.
Has anyone successfully changed the dome lights for LED's? Can anyone offer any tips? Lastly, if I can't get the LED's working, is there a whiter bulb option for the dome?
TIA

Are you talking about the center small dome lights?
No problem at all, try flip the led bulb and put it back, or maybe a broken blub, loose connection, make sure the metal thin wire on bulb is touching the metal clip

The bulbs I have are definitely the correct replacements and they are good but I just cant get it to work. I got one working for a short time but not the other. Maybe it is the actual holders that need to be replaced? I've tried this 3 times now including flipping the bulbs. It's driving me mad since everything else is done and looks great!

No to the fuse. The regular bulbs worked without issue. That's what's back in there for now. What do you mean by pushing too far in?

I have the same problem with my led dome lights. I've tried every imaginable option to no avail. The company even sent me a new set of led's, but the new ones won't even work. So I've just given up and have settled with mismatched lights...

I'm definitely in the same boat. If someone does have it working perhaps they could share the exact bulbs they have and where they found them? TIA

I have the same problem for the center "dome lights". I took the dome housing out and plugged in OBC Error Free LED's from AznOptics.com. Only the driver side works and the passenger side will either work for a few seconds or will not even work at all. I tried flipping, switching, and taping them BUT nothing avails. I also re-tested the bulbs on another socket and they work perfectly fine. I end up putting back in OEM bulbs and now I got mismatch color as well with all my other LED's.
Alternative I tried: I got a very high voltage LED that mimics the OEM bulb. Both sides finally work but only for 1 week. The passenger side stopped working again. I got those from VLED.com.
Right now, I'm trying to find if eBay will sell just the socket instead of the whole dome assembly. If anyone got it to work, please shed some light!
