7 G Tronic Gear Box Fault
Hi Guys/Girls,
Trying to find out how many people have had issues with their 722.9 Transmission.... Have read some horror stories and am thinking of buying an 08 SL63 which has had a jammed g box back in July 2013 which got fixed and when it went on the Star Diagnostic yesterday for a health check prior to me buying and a fault code came up for g box....!!!!
Does anyone have any experience of a gear box having issues on an SL and if so once fixed was it OK or can I expect years of trouble....!!!!
Am not sure if they replaced the valve body in 2013 will be finding out... Car is now waiting at MB to have this fault looked at and if same fault corrected under 2 year warranty.....
Was thinking of getting an extended MB warranty once car is bought and with the fault corrected prior to my purchase I guess the warranty should cover future g box problems....???
Anyhow if you nice people have got any thoughts I'd welcome them..
